TODAY'S WORD FOR Wednesday, April 17, 2019:

ALONE

DefinitionDEFINITION:

Isolated from others; by oneself; without aid or help.

ScriptureSCRIPTURE:

And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20

As I was with Moses, so will I be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you.
Joshua 1:5

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCEKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

One of the first references to God’s unfailing presence, found in the Bible, was spoken by Moses in Deuteronomy 31:6-8, when he instructed his successor, Joshua, about leading God’s people, the Children of Israel, into the “land of promise.” And Joshua himself heard the same word from the Lord, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5).

This promise is repeated in the New Testament, where the writer of Hebrews gave this assurance: “God Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’” (13:5).

No matter how lonely you feel today, wherever you are today, YOU ARE NOT ALONE! This is a promise from God and when He makes a promise, He never breaks that promise. We can leave God but He never leaves us. If we shut God out of our life we will be on our own. If you have placed your trust in Jesus for your eternal life and eternal salvation, you can be certain that He will never leave you.

If you have never asked Jesus into your heart, this promise is not for you. We urge you today to make that decision of accepting Jesus as Your Savior. This next weekend we celebrate the death of Jesus when He died on the cross to pay the penalty for the sins of all of us. All you have to do is ask God for forgiveness and accept Jesus as your Savior and then next Sunday you will join all of us who have accepted Jesus as our Savior -- AND CELEBRATE HIS RESSURECTION!

LEARNINGLEARNING:

Our memory verse for this week is found in Matthew 28:6.

He is not here, for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

PRAYERPRAYER:

Thank You for the assurance You have given me that You are with me all the time. May our family be an example to all those we see today of Your love and the Salvation You offer to anyone who will ask You for forgiveness and accept You as their Savior.
