TODAY'S WORD FOR Tuesday, February 27, 2018:

To make different in form; to transform; to exchange for another; to become different.

You shall love your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:37-38

So, from now on we regard no one from a world point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.
II Corinthians 5:16-17

Have you recently given any thought about your lifestyle and your future? What kind of an impression do you make with your children, your family, your friends and those you work with? What about that little lie you told to make you feel more important? Do you have the desire to have a new cell phone just like your neighbors? What about that bad word that slipped out of your mouth? Why did you take those pencils, pads and paper clips home from work? Did you recently choose watching a game rather than going to church? And the list goes on and on.

Is it time for a change in your lifestyle? Do you have trouble sleeping at night because of the way you are living? If so, it is time for you and your family to experience living for God and enjoy His relationship. We want to let you know about a very important truth. The Christian life is not complicated.

The first thing you must do is make sure you know Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Have you recognized that you were born a sinner and all sinners will spend eternity in Hell? God sent His Son to this earth to pay the penalty for our sins because He does not want us to spend eternity in hell. In obedience to His father’s will, Jesus gave His life to die on the cross carrying the burden of all of our sins on His back.

After you accept Jesus as your Savior you will develop a relationship with Him. Your lifestyle will change. As Paul explains in II Corinthians 5:18-17 we will no longer think and act from a worldly point of view. We are a new creation. The old has gone, the new has come.

You will want to know more about God, through reading the Bible and going to a Bible believing church. Since He is now your friend, you will want to talk to Him daily through prayer.

God has given us TEN COMMANDMENTS. Take time to read them now by going to Exodus chapter 20. These ten commandments cover every area of your life. Memorize these commandments and then commit to live by them and your life will change.

If you have further questions on how to make this change in your life just send us your concerns by email today. Go to where our names are below this devotional and click on -- ken&dottie@worldbiblesociety.org. We will answer each and every email.

Our memory verse for this week is found in Romans 8:14.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Help me today, dear Lord, to evaluate my relationship with You from Your perspective not from a worldly view. Help me to memorize Your Ten Commandments and stay committed to live by them daily.
