TODAY'S WORD FOR Friday, June 07, 2019:

The feeling that what is wanted can be had; something that is longed for; to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence; to believe, desire or trust.

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31

Those who put their hope in God will always find that their strength will be renewed. This is because they are looking to the One who is strength, who is power, and who is life. When we hope in the Lord, we hope not in the strength of man but in the very One who created the world and created us.

We need to remind ourselves regularly that God is creator of all the earth. That He is great, and greatly to be praised. He is eternal, immortal, invisible, everlasting, all-powerful, and our all-knowing God. He calls us His children and He saved us from the power of sin and the grave. His understanding is unsearchable and He is a great God.

We can soar like eagles, as the verse above says, by renewing our minds with the truth of God’s goodness, faithfulness and might. When we put our hope in a faithful God, we tap into the greatest source of supernatural power. Even the strongest people become weary but God’s power and strength is never diminished.

Do not trust in your own strength but look to the One who is strength. He is your hope for today and for your days to come. David wrote in Psalms 25:3, No one whose hope is in You will ever be put to shame.

Our memory verse for this week is found in Acts 4:12.

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Give me the strength today to renew my mind so that I can know what Your will is for my life. Help me to share with others the importance of putting their Hope in You.
